Extension Activities

Gandhigram Rural University is a model for Rural Higher Education where Extension is the third component of Higher education- the other two components are Teaching and Research

Participation in Village Placement programme. (VPP)

Every year participated in VPP, a regular University Extension Programme, either as an organizer or as a participant member for a period of 4-7 days in a selected village along with students of Home Science and other department in groups. During this Extension programmes, systematic activities were planned and carried out to promote skill, knowledge and practice related to rural problems and solutions leading to integrated rural development - the vision of the institute.
