1. Established an Internet Browsing Centre at Gandhigram Rural University, Sep. 2006, at a cost of Rs.28 lakhs, funded by UGC, Sept. 2006.
2. Established a Centre for E-Content Development and Training, in Gandhigram Rural University at a cost of 50 lakhs, funded by UGC, Sept. 2006.
3. Established a Fiber Optic based Campus LAN in Gandhigram Rural Institute, 2003.
4. Proposed & Established a Department of Computer Science and Applications, in Gandhigram Rural Institute, 1996.
5. Proposed and got sanction from UGC to upgrade the Computer Centre at Gandhigram Rural Institute, at a cost of 20 lakhs in 1996.
6. Proposed, planned and obtained sanction from UGC to establish a Computer Centre at Gandhigram Rural Institute, at a cost of 12.5 lakhs in 1989, with 16 personnel, in 1989.
7. Established Computing Facility with a PC and a PC-XT for the first time in GRI, in the Department of Physics in 1987.
8. Designed and started a part-time Certificate Course on FORTRAN Programming for the first time in Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI), 1986.
