Gandhigram was born in 1947 as a dream realized by the dedicated disciples of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr.T.S.Soundaram and Dr.G.Ramachandran. Home of many rural oriented programmes, it extended its services to rural higher education through Gandhigram Rural Institute which was founded in 1956. The three dimensional approach of teaching, research and extension became a pioneering model which earned appreciation from all over the country and the work of the institution invited national attention. The Government of India (Ministry of Education) conferred the status of Deemed University to this institution in 1976 and is accredited with FIVE STAR Status by NAAC. It contains seven faculties. GRI offers Ph.D., M.Phil., P.G., P.G. Diploma, UG and Diploma courses.
Department of Computer Science & Applications DCS&A was started in the year 1996. It offers Ph.D., MCA and M.Sc-IT programmes. There are 250 students and 10 research scholars in the department. The Department has published over 50 papers in International and Peer Reviewed Journals and 3 books.
This conference aims at bringing academics, researchers and students to share their knowledge in the area of image processing. It also gives an opportunity for people spread in different locations of the country to meet and pursue colloborative work at National level.
Original research papers on the following areas of Image Processing or closely related areas are invited.

Only the papers of authors who pay registration fee on or before the last date of registration will be included in the proceedings. All submissions should be sent by Email only to: ncimp2010@gmail.com

Registration fee includes Conference Proceedings, breakfast, lunch, dinner and refreshments. For PG students, the cost of proceedings is extra.
. The registration fee is to be paid at any branch in India into Canara Bank A/c No.8500101011822 (Gandhigram Rural Institute branch) in the credit of REGISTRAR, GRI. The payment bank chalan along with the web-generated registration form has to be sent to the Chairperson on or before 13-01-10.
Publication of the Conference Proceedings All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. The publication will carry ISBN Number. The proceedings will be given at the reception desk on 12-02-2010.
There will be two invited talk on the frontier areas of Image Processing on the Forenoon of 13th February, 2010.
Accommodation will be arranged at the Institute Guest House. The rates for two bedded room are:
Extra accommodation for accompanying persons will be made only on request at an additional cost. Off-campus accommodation in hotels at Dindigul will be arranged, if University Guest House is filled.
