Deen Dayal Upadhyay – KAUSHAL Kendra

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has launched a scheme based on skills development as part of college/university education, leading to award of Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) Degree (Three Years) with multiple exists such as Diploma (one year), Diploma (Two Years) under the National Skill Qualification Frame work (NSQF). Dean Dayal Upadhyay Center for Knowledge Acquisition and Upgradation of Skilled Human Abilities and Livelihood (KAUSHAL) was established in GRI in September 2015. The B.Voc. Programme is focused on universities and colleges, providing undergraduate studies which would also incorporate specific job roles and their National Occupational Standards (NOS) along with broad general education. This would enable the graduates completing B.Voc.to make meaningful participation in accelerating India’s economy by gaining appropriate employment, becoming entrepreneurs and creating a pool of manpower with skills
