How do I apply for Ph.D. admission?
Applications are made online on the Ph.D. admission portal. Use the "Register Now" button on the home page, or open the Ph.D. instructions page ↗, and read the instructions before you register.
Where can I find the prospectus and admission rules?
Open Admissions in the main menu. The Prospectus and Regulations are listed there.
Which programmes does the Institute offer?
See the Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research cards on the home page, or choose Academics and then Programmes.
Where are the schools, departments and centres?
The "Schools, Departments & Centres" section on the home page lists all of them. Choose one to open its page.
Where do I find examination time tables, certificates and e-SANAD?
Open Examination in the main menu. It has the examination system, time tables, applications and certificates, Ph.D. tracking, e-SANAD and the Tatkal scheme.
Where are the latest notices, circulars, events and tenders?
On the home page under Announcements. Each box has a "View all" link for the complete list.
How do I use the student portal?
The first item under Student notices on the home page, "Instructions to access Student Portal", explains how to sign in.
How can I read the website in Tamil or Hindi, or make the text larger?
Use the buttons at the very top of every page: language buttons (English, தமிழ், हिन्दी), text size (A-, A, A+), zoom and contrast. See Help.
How do I ask for information under the RTI Act?
The RTI section in the footer lists the Officers for RTI, the Public Information Officer, statutory bodies, MoA and Bye-Laws.
