How to use this website.
Finding information
Use the main menu at the top of every page, the Search box on the home page, or the Site Map. Latest notices, circulars, events and tenders are on the home page under Announcements; choose View all to see the full list.
Accessibility tools
- Skip to main content — the first link on every page; press Tab once, then Enter.
- Text size (A-, A, A+) and Zoom — make the text or the whole page larger or smaller.
- Contrast — a high-contrast view for low vision.
- Language — English, தமிழ் and हिन्दी.
- Listen — reads the page aloud.
- Pause animations — stops the moving news line, slideshow and blinking buttons.

Watching video tours
Department and centre pages have a Video Tour item in the side menu. Press the Play video tour button (or press Enter when it is selected with the keyboard) to start the video inside the page. Use the CC button in the player for captions, the gear icon for speed and quality, and the square icon for full screen. To leave the player with the keyboard, press Tab. You can also open the video on YouTube with the "Watch video tour on YouTube" link. Where a text version is given, it is under the video.
Opening documents
Most notices and forms are PDF files. Open them with any PDF reader, for example the reader built into your browser or Adobe Acrobat Reader (external website ↗). Some files may be large; if a download is slow, try again on a faster connection. Please keep your anti-virus software up to date before opening downloaded files.
